I am remaking my pieces to reflect a narrative.

I think about how shadows falling across a form break up the sensation that it is solid, massive and whole.

I think about emotions such as anxiety, worry, and fear and how they can be countered by gratitude, decisions and definition.

I think about how the skeleton encases the heart and is wrapped in flesh.

I think about the sea and all that nautical imagery.

I think about birth-death-regeneration because what else is there.

Finally, it is a struggle to act effortlessly when making something.
